Hum Capital Raises $9M in Series A Funding
– Hum Capital is a NYC-based AI powered funding platform.
– The company raised $9m in Series A funding.
– The round was led by Future Ventures, with participation from Webb Investment Network, Wavemaker Partners and Partech.
– The new investment will be used to scale the company’s go-to-market operations and onboard new institutional investors onto its Intelligent Capital Market (ICM) platform to expand access to a diverse range of non-dilutive financing products.

Latent AI, which says it can compress common AI models by 10x, lands some key backing
– Latent AI, a now three-year-old, Menlo Park, Ca.-based startup, just closed on $19m in Series A funding in a round co-led by Future Ventures and Blackhorn Ventures, with participation from Booz Allen, Lockheed Martin, 40 North Ventures, and Autotech Ventures.
– The company has now raised $22.5m altogether.

Osmind Closes $15 Million Series A Round to Help Clinicians and Researchers Bring Innovative Mental Health Treatments to More Patients
– Osmind closed $15m in Series A funding to further develop and expand its electronic health record (EHR) and research platform.
– The financing was led by Future Ventures, joined by existing investor General Catalyst and new investors Tiger Global, Offline Ventures, and Yahoo! co-founder Jerry Yang’s AME Cloud Ventures.
– A number of angel investors also participated, including Joshua Kushner (co-founder of Oscar Health and Thrive Capital), Adrian Aoun (founder of Forward), Jonathan Hirsch (founder of Syapse), Alice Zhang (co-founder of Verge Genomics), Bay Gross (co-founder of Cityblock Health), and Linhao Zhang (co-founder of TrialSpark).
– The company also announced the addition of Miki Kapoor (co-founder of Verana Health) as an advisor.

Beeflow raises $8.3 million to save the bees AND put them to work
– Beeflow, a startup that announced the close of a $8.3m Series A round, is looking to both save the bees and help farmers be more efficient and effective at the same time.
– The financing round was led by Ospraie Ag Science, with participation from Future Ventures’ Steve Jurvetson, Jeff Wilke, Vectr Ventures, SOSV’s IndieBio and Grid Exponential.
– The startup uses proprietary scientific technology that essentially makes bees healthier, particularly in cold weather.
– A wealth of research led the company to understand that certain plant-based foods and molecules, when fed to the bees, can reduce the mortality rate of bees by up to 70 percent, and help them perform better in colder weather.
