– Major League Baseball and Elysian Park Ventures, the private investment arm of the ownership group of the Los Angeles Dodgers, also participated in the round.
– A slew of new and existing backers also put money in the round, including Olympic gold medalists Julie Foudy and Swin Cash; NFL veteran Derrick Dockery; Peter J. Holt, chairman of Spurs Sports & Entertainment; Laura Dixon, founder and president of PRO Sports Assembly; and investment management firm Hamilton Lane.

– Titan, a startup that is building a retail investment management platform aimed at the new generation of “everyday investors,” has closed on $58m in a Series B round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
– The financing comes just over five months after Titan raised $12.5m in a Series A round led by General Catalyst, and brings the startup’s total raised since its 2017 inception to $75m. It values the company at $450m.
– General Catalyst also put money in the Series B round, along with BoxGroup, Ashton Kutcher’s Sound Ventures and a group of professional athletes and celebrities including Odell Beckham Jr., Kevin Durant, Jared Leto and Will Smith.

– E-commerce company Fabric just landed a $100m investment to help retailers sell their products online.
– The funding comes just five months after Fabric raised a $43m Series A round.
– The 4-year-old company said revenue has grown more than 800% year-over-year as the pandemic has accelerated e-commerce adoption.
– It now employs 161 people, up 400% since February.
– The Series B round values Fabric at $850m, according to Bloomberg, up from a $193m valuation in February.
– Fabric is quickly inching toward unicorn status, on the verge of joining a growing list of privately held tech startups in the Seattle region valued above $1bn.
