Japan’s B2B ordering and supply platform CADDi raises $73 million Series B funding
– CADDi, a B2B ordering and supply platform in the manufacturing and procurement industry, raised $73m in Series B funding.
– The round was led by Globis Capital Partners and World Innovation Lab (WiL), with participation from existing investors DCM and Global Brain.
– Six new investors also joined the round including Arena Holdings, DST Global, Minerva Growth Partners, Tybourne Capital Management, JAFCO Group and SBI Investment.
– The post-money valuation is estimated at $450m.
– The funding proceeds will be used for accelerating digital transformation of the platform, hiring and expanding to global markets.

ADDING and REPLACING R-Zero Raises $40M+ Series B to Advance the Evolution of Intelligent Disinfection Platform

– The round was led by World Innovation Lab with participation from venture capital icon John Doerr and current R-Zero investors, DBL Partners and SOSV / HAX. This latest investment brings R-Zero’s total capital raised to over $58m in the few short months since the company was founded in early 2020, further establishing the company as a world leader in delivering innovative biosafety technologies to address glaring gaps in society’s health protections against COVID-19 and other common infectious diseases.

– The round was led by M13 with participation from Accomplice, Bling Capital, World Innovation Labs, and Coatue.
– The company intends to use the funds to expand its team by 150% and launch debit cards.

Sendbird Lands $100M Series C Round
– Sendbird, the leading mobile engagement & communication company across in-app chat, voice and video, has closed $100m in Series C funding.
– STEADFAST Capital Ventures led the investment round with participation from Emergence Capital, Softbank Vision Fund 2*, and World Innovation Lab also participated.
– The company was founded in 2014 and is based in San Francisco, California.

– Aiven from Helsinki develops open source technologies with cloud infrastructure.
– Company raised $100m in Series C funding.
– The round was led by Atomico and attracted new investors Salesforce Ventures and World Innovation Lab as well as existing investors Earlybird Venture Capital and IVP.
– The new investment will be aimed at doubling the company’s headcount over the next year, bringing new products to market, developing open source technologies and continuing to expand internationally.
