– Rainforest, an e-commerce aggregator, raised $20m in pre-Series A funding.
– The round was led by Monk’s Hill Ventures and joined by Nordstar, Insignia Venture Partners, January Capital, Crossbeam Venture Partners, Amasia and Lo & Behold Group.
– The company plans to triple its brand portfolio by the end of this year.

Indonesian D2C insurance marketplace Lifepal raises $9M Series A
– Lifepal, a marketplace for insurance policies, raised $9m in Series A funding.
– The round was led by ProBatus Capital, with participation from Cathay Innovation and returning investors Insignia Venture Partners, ATM Capital and Hustle Fund.
– Lifepal was founded in 2019 by former Lazada executives Giacomo Ficari and Nicolo Robba, along with Benny Fajarai and Reza Muhammad.
– The new funding brings its total raised to $12m.

Super, an Indonesian hyperlocal social commerce startup, raises $28M led by SoftBank Ventures Asia
– Super, a social commerce startup, raised $28m in Series B funding.
– The round was led by SoftBank Ventures Asia and joined by returning backers Amasia, Insignia Ventures Partners, Y Combinator Continuity Fund and Bain Capital co-chairman Stephen Pagliuca, while partners from DST Global and TNB Aura invested for the first time.
– The funding brings Super’s total raised so far to more than $36m.

Singapore-based Nimbly gets $4.6M to help businesses automate their standard operating procedures
– Nimbly, a software startup, raised $4.6m in pre-Series A funding.
– The round was led by Insignia Ventures Partners, with participation from Sovereign’s Capital and Saison Capital.
– The company is currently used by more than one hundred organizations in seven countries, including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and the United States.
– Some clients also come from the fast-moving consumer goods and agriculture sectors, like Cargill and Wilmar.

Symbo Platform Raises US$9.4M in Series A Funding
– Symbo Platform Holdings, a Singapore-based insurtech platform, closed a US$9.4m funding round.
– The round was led by CreditEase Fintech Investment Fund and Think Investments, with participation from existing investors Integra Partners, Insignia Ventures and AJ Capital.
– The company intends to use the funds to continue investing in its core technology and leadership team with recruitment across technology and product functions along with senior business development hires in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and in its Indian affiliate.
