Kalepa Raises $14M In Series A Funding
– Kalepa is a NYC-based commercial insurance platform provider.
– Company raised $14m in Series A funding.
– The round was led by Inspired Capital, with participation from previous investor IA Ventures, as well as Gokul Rajaram of Doordash, Coinbase, and formerly of Google, Jackie Reses, formerly of Square, and Henry Ward of Carta.
– The new investment will be used to grow the team four-fold over the next year, with an emphasis on engineering, data science, and insurance talent.

Data and AI operations startup Coiled nabs $21M
– Coiled, a DataOps and AIOps platform that seeks to increase access to scalable computing, announced that it raised $21 million in series A funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
– Coiled’s latest funding round, which saw participation from IA Ventures and FirstMark, brings its total raised to $26 million to date. Previously, the company closed a $5 million seed round led by Costanoa Ventures.
– Alongside the financing, Coiled unveiled Coiled Cloud, which lets data scientists build machine learning models using Python tools on a laptop, then transfer the model to any cloud environment to avoid vendor lock-in.

– The financing was co-led by Inspired Capital and IA Ventures, with participation from IRONGREY and previous investors Upfront Ventures and iSeed.

Companion Raises $8M in Seed Funding
– Companion is a San Francisco, CA-based startup that develops technology and services to train dogs.
– The company raised $8m in seed funding led by IA Ventures.
– The round was also participated by Tuesday Capital, frog Design, Companion Fund, backed by Mars Petcare, Michelson Found Animals Foundation, Wheelhouse Partners, PETStock and Central Garden & Pet.
– Companion intends to use the funds to continue rolling out the device and coaching service to early adopters.
