Doxel raises $40M from Insight, a16z to become the ‘Waze for construction’
– Doxel, which has developed software that uses computer vision to help track and monitor progress on construction job sites, announced that it has raised $40 million in Series B funding.
– Insight Partners led the round, which included participation from existing backers Andreessen Horowitz and Amplo and brings the startup’s total raised to $56.5 million since its December 2015 inception.

Lightyear Raises $13.1M in Series A Funding
– Lightyear is a NYC-based provider of software to buy and manage business telecom services (internet, voice, WAN, data center) through a single dashboard.
– The company raised $13.1m in Series A funding.
– The round was led by Ridge Ventures with participation from Zigg Capital, Barry Sternlicht (CEO of Starwood), Gokul Rajaram (DoorDash exec, Coinbase Board), Michael Rapino (CEO of Live Nation), Marcus Ridgway (Invitation Homes Founder), and Stephen Klenert (Founder of Atlantic Metro), as well as existing investors Amplo, Ludlow Ventures, Susa Ventures, Operator Partners (founders of Flatiron Health), Contrary Capital, and Darco Capital. Ridge Ventures Partner and serial CIO-turned-investor Yousuf Khan will join the Lightyear board.
– The company intends to use the funds to boost hiring and resources in development and go-to-market functions.

Kriya Therapeutics Completes $100 Million Series B Financing to Advance Its Fully Integrated Platform for Designing, Developing and Manufacturing Transformative Gene Therapies
– Kriya closed a $100m Series B financing to support its mission of transforming the design, development and manufacturing of gene therapies.
– The financing was led by Patient Square Capital with participation from new investors Woodline Partners LP, CAM Capital, Hongkou, Alumni Ventures and others.
– All existing institutional investors also participated in this round, including QVT, Dexcel Pharma, Foresite Capital, Bluebird Ventures, Transhuman Capital, Narya Capital, Amplo and JDRF T1D Fund.
– Proceeds from the financing will be used to further develop Kriya’s core technology platforms, expand its therapeutic pipeline and advance its current programs in metabolic disease, ophthalmology and oncology.
– Jim Momtazee, Managing Partner of Patient Square Capital, will join Kriya’s Board of Directors.

Bowery Farming Inks $300M Series C Round
– Bowery Farming, the largest vertical farming company in the United States, has secured $300m in additional funding.
– The round was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company LLC, with significant follow-on investment from existing investors GV (formerly Google Ventures), General Catalyst, GGV Capital, Temasek, Groupe Artémis (Pinault-owned), as well as new participation from Amplo and Gaingels, a fund representing the LGBTQ community and allies.

Indoor farming company Bowery raises $300M
– Vertical farming startup Bowery Farming raised $300m funding.
– The round was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and joined by GV (formerly Google Ventures), General Catalyst, GGV Capital, Temasek and Groupe Artémis.
– Amplo and Gaingels participated, as well, along with some celebrity individual investors, including Lewis Hamilton, Chris Paul, Natalie Portman, José Andrés and Justin Timberlake.
– The funding comes as Bowery has experienced some impressive real-world growth, touting a 750% increase in availability since January of last year.

– Aryeo, a Boston, MA-based proptech startup offering a platform to manage, syndicate and utilize content in the real estate industry, raised $3.65m in seed funding.
– The round was led by Hyperplane VC and Amplo with participation from Contrary, Jon Oringer, founder of Shutterstock, and Bill Clerico, founder of WePay.
– The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and business reach.

– WizeHire is a recruiting platform for small businesses.
– The company raised $7.5m in Series A funding.
– Amplo and Mercury led the round, and joined by existing backers Ruchit Shah and RigUp co-founder Sandeep Jain.
– The company plans to use the funding to provide small businesses a faster, easier hiring experience previously only available to large corporations.
