– Refurbed from Vienna is a marketplace for refurbished electronics in the German speaking region promoting sustainable consumption.
– Company raised $54m in Series B funding.
– The round was led by Evli Growth Partners and Almaz Capital, which joined existing investors such as Speedinvest, Bonsai Partners and All Iron Ventures, as well as a group of new backers – Hermes GPE, C4 Ventures, SevenVentures, Alpha Associates, Monkfish Equity (Trivago Founders), Kreos, Isomer Capital and Creas Impact Fund.
– The company intends to use the funds to strengthen its position in the DACH market for refurbished electronics and focus on geographical expansion by entering more European countries, further develop and improve its product portfolio as well as focusing on scaling its international team, employing specialists from all across Europe.

Brazilian digital auto marketplace InstaCarro revs up with $23M in funding
– InstaCarro, a digital marketplace that connects used car sellers to dealers in Brazil, has raised $23m in a Series B round of funding.
– The round was led by U.S.-based firms J Ventures, FJ Labs and Rise Capital, and joined by Spain’s All Iron Ventures and Big Sur.
– With the latest round, São Paulo-based InstaCarro has now raised more than $56m since its 2015 inception.

Edtech startup Microverse raises $12.5M to bring income share agreements to the developing world
– Edtech startup Microverse has tapped new venture funding in its quest to help train students across the globe to code through its online school that requires zero upfront cost, instead relying on an income-share agreement that kicks in when students find a job.
– The startup has closed a $12.5 million Series A led by Northzone with additional participation from General Catalyst, All Iron Ventures and a host of angel investors.
– Earlier Microverse had closed a bout of seed funding from General Catalyst and Y Combinator; this latest round brings the startup’s total funding to just under $16 million.
– The company’s vision has seen added pandemic-era traction as larger tech companies have embraced remote work that spans geographic boundaries and time zones.
